1- Egyptians can obtain a Japan visa by submitting an application for a visa at the headquarters of the Embassy of Japan in Maadi Corniche in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
2- It is possible to go to the embassy with the file of the required papers directly without obtaining a prior appointment, provided that the trip is by the official working hours announced by the embassy.
3- The official working hours are from Sunday to Thursday from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon.
4- The applicant needs to conduct a personal interview with the employee in charge of the Japanese embassy to find out the reason for the visit, submit the necessary papers and pay the visa fees.
5- The fees for obtaining a Japan visa for one-time travel are 280 Egyptian pounds, while the value of a multiple-travel visa is 480 Egyptian pounds.
6- All amounts paid will be refunded in case the visa is not obtained. It takes approximately four working days to obtain the visa.
7- The validity of the visa for Japan is three months, allowing the holder to reside in Japan for fifteen days during the three months.
Documents required to obtain a Japan visa for Egyptians
1- The visa application form, which is uploaded through the website of the Japanese Consulate in Cairo, and fills in the required data carefully and accurately.
2- Two personal photos that comply with international standards for photos, for obtaining a visa.
3- A bank account statement showing the movement of the account within three months, and it is not required that the statement contain large amounts of money.
4- A letter from the applicant’s employer or from the university in which he studies, if the applicant is a university student.
5- A copy of the applicant’s national ID card.
6- A copy of the statement of reservation of the residence hotel in Japan during the period of the flight stay.
7- A statement of the details of the trip that the traveler takes during the entire period of stay.
8- Air ticket reservations to and from Japan.
9- A copy of the commercial register and tax card for businessmen, investors and self-employed people.

1- It is possible to travel to Japan through a direct flight without transit from Cairo to Narita International Airport, near the Japanese capital, Tokyo, through a weekly flight organized by Cairo International Airport to Japan every Saturday.
2- There is a direct return flight from Tokyo to Cairo every Sunday of every week.
3- The cost of a flight ticket to Japan from Egypt ranges from 11 to 17 thousand Egyptian pounds, and the cost of the ticket decreases the earlier the reservation is made.
